It seems that we are getting closer and closer to the self driving car, and the next step has been made by Hyundai. The ‘Genesis’ will alert drivers to upcoming speed cameras and apply the brakes to the correct limits if the warnings are not heeded. The car works off an internal GPS system that will be keyed into static speed cameras, although mobile cameras and check points will still be down to the drivers control. At an estimated UK price of £30,000 the Hyundai will also include hi-tech gadgetry like lane-assist, blind spot detection, and computer controlled emergency braking.
