End Of Tax Disc Sees Clampings Rocket Up!

In the first three months of 2015 the DVLA have clamped an extra 10,000 vehicles compared to the same period last year, that takes total clampings to just over 26,000. The end of the tax disc and move to digital taxing is the main reason behind this as many people are being caught out with the new system. Instead of the old tax disc being transferred to a new owner when the used car purchase is made, the tax is immediately cancelled, and the new owner needs to get online and establish their own ownership. It look as if this is not being done and as a result the DVLA clampers are having an absolute field day.
