Tata Profits, Thanks To Jaguar Land Rover

Tata has seen a much larger than expected profit increase in the last quarter thanks to the overwhelming success of its Jaguar Land Rover business arm. The three months to the end of June saw a net profit for the company of £525 million, while revenues as a whole were up almost 40%. However, the 22% rise in Jaguar Land Rover sales conflicts drastically with the continuing struggles that Tata are having in their Indian domestic marketplace, which showed a 28% drop off over the same period.
